Privacy Policy

Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number, account and membership status, subscription plan, renewal and cancellation information, promotional code information, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers. If you sign in with Google, Google may provide your name and email address for authentication.

Professional and credential information: nursing licenses and license numbers, licensing states, license expiration dates, compact-license status, certifications and credentials, certification expiration dates, continuing education course information, CE completion dates and hours, clinical/non-clinical classifications, accredited-provider information, and other professional records and documents.

Members may upload documents such as license or certification records, continuing education certificates, and other professional documents. Uploaded files are stored in private storage and are not intended to have publicly accessible URLs. Access requires authentication or temporary, time-limited links generated for authorized sharing.

We use information to create and manage accounts; provide MyCompassRN features; organize licenses, certifications, CE records and documents; track expiration and renewal dates; provide reminders; manage memberships and subscriptions; process credential-sharing requests; respond to support requests; and maintain and improve the operation and security of MyCompassRN.

MyCompassRN uses Stripe to process membership payments. Payment card and bank account details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by MyCompassRN. MyCompassRN may retain Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and membership information needed to manage subscription status, renewals, cancellations, and access to paid services. Stripe's handling of payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policies and terms.

MyCompassRN may send expiration reminders containing license or certification information such as state, license number, and expiration date. When a member chooses to send a credential packet, MyCompassRN may send the member's name and temporary links to selected documents to the email address entered by the member. These document links expire after a limited period. Members are responsible for ensuring they intend to share the selected information with the recipient.

When contacting MyCompassRN support, members may provide their name, email address, subject, request type, and message. Support requests may be delivered to the MyCompassRN support email account for response. Members should avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal, financial, or medical information in support messages.

MyCompassRN currently relies on Base44 for hosting, authentication, database services, private file storage, and email-related services; Stripe for membership payment and subscription processing; and Google for authentication when a member chooses Google sign-in. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy policies and terms.

MyCompassRN also provides links to state Boards of Nursing and other external resources. Clicking an external link does not automatically transmit a member's MyCompassRN records to that organization.

Member records are maintained with access controls intended to restrict members to their own licenses, certifications, CE records, documents, and profile information. Authorized MyCompassRN administrators may access member records when necessary to administer accounts, operate the service, provide support, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, or perform other legitimate administrative functions.

Uploaded files are maintained in private storage and may be accessed through authenticated or temporary signed links. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable measures are used to protect member information.

Members may use the Delete Account feature to permanently delete their MyCompassRN account. The deletion process is designed to cancel an active Stripe subscription to prevent future renewal charges; delete the member's licenses, certifications, continuing education records, other document records, and profile; permanently delete the member's MyCompassRN login account; and sign the member out.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once the login account is deleted, the member will no longer be able to sign in using that account. Certain information may still be retained by third-party providers when required for transaction records, legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, or other legitimate purposes under their respective policies.

MyCompassRN does not currently use custom analytics or event-tracking code within the application. The hosting platform may maintain standard server, infrastructure, traffic, security, or technical logs as part of operating the service.

MyCompassRN is intended for nursing professionals and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly design the service to collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy as MyCompassRN changes or as legal, technical, or business requirements evolve. When the policy is updated, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or other appropriate means.
